(Still set to last years end of season stats, some reason this years preseason doesn't want to upload (I can do it manually and probably will). Last years pre-season still uploads.

I didn't plan it... but lucked out that three of the remaining 5 teams need a D (SA).
There's some pretty gross options... I didn't even like picking PHI - but their defensive forwards (Couts, Frost, Cates) have some decent two-way play and hockey IQ.

ARI, MON, CHI, SJ, ANA...
Boy... these are just some straight-up gross defenses.

I do think CBJ's D with their additions of Provorov, Severson, eventually Jiricek, and healthy Werenski should be massively improved team.
I realized this a bit late, lucky to still have a shot to add them in Round 8. I could see them being in the NHL 15-20 range for shots against.
Plus, more offense helps with defense (Fantilli).

Yeah I was hoping to take the blue jackets as a sneaky late SA, but waited too long. I prioritized sv% and GF, so I knew I’d likely have to take a bit of a stinker for my last SA. Maybe Montreal surprises me though and isn’t terrible for SA…..
