Rodgers was dealing with a calf injury, and a doctor has said that when dealing with a calf injury, the stress "essentially" goes right to the achilles. Rodgers and Dobbins were both playing on turf, and on the Rodgers play specifically, his foot plants and sticks then the achilles pops. Turf in general is just not good enough especially with how the modern athletes are pushed to the edge of injury on every play.

and for my investment in Garret Wilson in several leagues.
But wow... that TD catch that he made was something special!

Did anyone watch any of the Panthers/Falcons games?
Curious if there are any 'eye-tests' on Bryce Young?

That Wilson catch was unreal. Offense and Defense on the same play!

Bryce Young looks small and the Panthers O-Line looks BAD.

Saw highlights of that game and looks like the Falcons have a great backfield duo. Bijan looks pretty good and Allgeier playing well too. Heavy run attack for the birds this year.

An MRI confirmed today that Aaron Rodgers officially tore his Achilles on the fourth play of his Jets’ career.

Rodgers’ season now, officially, is over. There already are questions about whether his Hall-of-Fame career is, too.

Man, how do you come back from a torn Achilles in your 40's? I'm not yet 40 but will be soon enough and this is my nightmare. What a brutal way to go out if that is it for Rodgers, but then again almost no one has the fairy tale ending, certainly not Brady and even Peyton Manning went out with a Super Bowl win but he wanted to keep playing and instead 32 teams told him "Nah, we're good."

Who do the Jets go out and get? Because they cannot go forward with Zach Wilson again.

The good thing about Rodgers is he wasn't dependent on quick mobility, but one of his best attributes was mobility in the pocket. So it should be interesting how much athleticism he's going to lose from the injury. And it's his front foot, so it's not like it's the plant foot. And it's not throwing arm related. But it's still a yr long injury, and it's likely 6-9months before he can return to football activities.

As for replacement........Tom Brady. But in all seriousness, you have to go with Wilson this yr. He should know the playbook, and anyone who is available needs time to catchup on the playbook and isn't good. If Ryan Fitzpatrick type of player was out there, I would say him. But a new QB is going to need like 3-4weeks to fully grasp the playbook.

Like guys available are Wentz, Ryan, McCoy, Flacco, Foles, Driskel. So maybe Flacco comes in since he should know the playbook.

I'm guessing a retired QB comes out of retirement. Broadway Brady or Matt Ryan are my 2 cents.

Tom Brady formally retired, but Matt Ryan didn't. He actually would lose $12m+ if he retired from the Colts. So if he comes back and plays, he would likely be getting more than $12m plus whatever he gets for his broadcast role.

I'm not convinced Zach Wilson has a better understanding of the playbook than any of these guys who aren't there yet. He's so bad.

Is Tom Brady an option? Do they reach out to him?

Do they reach out to Mike White and try getting him back from Miami?

Or Is Indy happy with what they have seen from Richardson that they would Trade Minshew?

There aren't a lot of options out there that I can see as feasible.

Oh ok so forget Ryan. Maybe Flacco is a safe bet.
