i think it depends what you need....thing is that Woll is ready and probably be starter on one of best team next year as their cap will prevent them from signing Samsonov. If you were to choose goalie in this years draft it will be 5 years before he plays for you if you lucky....
So if you need a goalie i probably take a shot at him between 6 -10 but if you are good at that position i rather draft many skaters available ..
also there is a chance that Woll completely sucks as most goalies right now are very unpredictable ..helps that he plays on good team...

Is the draft the only way to acquire players in this league? If yes, I think you make a case to draft him fairly high. If not, maybe you just wait and grab him off the waiver wire.

I was thinking pick 16. Goalie is definitely a weakness for me.

If it's the team in signature, I do think it's not much of a weakness. If it's another team, I can't judge.
Either way, a second round pick or very late first seems reasonable. He's very likely to get NHL starts, and if he does well, he may be anointed the future starter by fans or the press, which is enough to give him significantly more value than a normal #16 pick.

So I ended up picking Sandin Pellikka at 16 (I think this kid is underrated and love his path in Detroit). Thankfully, I was able to snag Woll at pick #26. Hofer was taken before Woll so I was happy with how it played out.
