Late in the draft, need to choose among :

    Copley
    Korpisalo
    Vejmelka
    Luukkonen

(Pts only, 2pts/win + 1 pt for SO, Salary Cap league)

    Thanks!!

I am excited about Thomas Harley.

But I don't expect anything over 40 points.

Last year he scored at about .5 points per game in the AHL.
So I would suggest that is his ceiling in the NHL.

    I also see Heiskanen as a well-rounded D-man
So that is a major obstacle to Harley getting valuable PP points to get more than 40.

I also see Dallas as having strong forwards that they won't rely on secondary scoring from D.
So they would much rather give more minutes to reliable veterans as opposed to giving the young guy more minutes.
Let Suter and Lindell play more and worry about their own end and let the forwards create the offense.

Korpisalo and it's not close for me...
League 1: 10 teams Points only (Best 9F, 4D and 1G count for the season and best 8 for the playoff). Drop 4 players before a 4 round draft before season. Mini draft during all star week-end (drop one pick one available).

F: MacKinnon, Pettersson, Eichel, Barkov, Stone, Ehlers, Necas, Huberdeau, Zacha, Boldy, , Lafreniere, Cozens, Vilardi
D: Dobson, Ekblad, DeAngelo, Seider, Bouchard, Matheson, Clarke
    G: Vasilievski, Sorokin

League 2: 14 teams, same setting.

F: Rantanen, Kyrou, Barkov, Raymond, Perfetti, Jarvis, Lundell, Lafreniere, Byfield, Holtz, Norris, Reichel, Rossi
D: Dahlin, McAvoy, Addison, Krug, Lundkvist, Clarke
    G: Sorokin, Demko

Vejmelka would be my choice. I think Arizona is going to win more games than people expect this season.

I think you would be safe choosing either Korpisalo or Vajmelka. Other 2 are not an option imo

I guess it would depend on what kind of salary resources you have at your disposal. Korpisalo and Vejmelka are cheaper starters but unproven and on weaker teams. Luukonen and Copley are cheap backups but also unproven.

Best bet of the bunch is Korpisalo but that's not considering salary. I think Vejmelka is your best bang for buck option.

Vejmelka - I think he's the surest starter, and possibly the most talented guy of this bunch. Team is bad, but improving a little.
Copley - best team, and he's got weak competition, even though Talbot was brought in for however long he's healthy. There could be another move in the works, but it should've happened by now.
UPL - young, cheap, good team, but how much will he play?
Korpisalo - good team, but expensive, which is a double edged sword. He'll get multiple shots, but Forsberg is pretty good.

I think Vejmelka is the most talented of the bunch. The team he’s on is not great but improving. Korpisalo has a spot and it’s his to lose. Don’t have too much faith in him but his team wants the playoffs. I know what Vejmelka can do but Korpisalo is a wild card. Slight edge to the known guy.
