Tier 1- Markstrom/Bob
Tier 2 - Korpi/Husso
Tier 3- Talbot/Francouz
Hi all.
I play multicat roto league and we start 2 goalies per week. Goalie cats are: W Save %, GAA, SHO.
Last year my skaters were easily first, but my goalies wrecked my chances. Its hard to get a goalie, and getting one via a trade is very difficult given my position.
My keeper goalies are Jarry and Kochetkov (prospect).
I will need to grab one or two of these guys in redraft and hope they can be middle of the road goalies (or Kochetkov gets the job somehow). How do you rank them for this year only?
Tier 1- Markstrom/Bob
Tier 2 - Korpi/Husso
Tier 3- Talbot/Francouz

But if I'm being honest, I don't really want any of these goalies so I'd be waiting as long as possible to pick another one.
Markstrom
Korpisalo
Bobrovsky
Husso

Francouz
I don't expect Kochetkov to give you much until injuries happen.

I like this.
And I like that Markstrom is getting recognition here. He had a horrible season last year, no doubt - but the disrespect he’s getting in drafts and by fantasy analysts is ridiculous and making him a rea sleeper. The Keeping Karlsson guys have him ranked ridiculously low on their goalie tiers, and I don’t get it at all. Calgary HAS TO bounce back and their D, even if they lose Hanifin, is solid. Markstrom was a Vezina finalist one year ago, putting up 37 Ws, and a 0.922 with 9 shutouts. Does everyone think that was just a mirage? Sure he’s got a challenger in Wolf (which I think is the Kk guys main concern), but Wolf is 22 and lots of time to introduce him to the NHL, plus Vladar is there. Anyway, don’t sleep on Markstrom.

Markstrom is even more consistent at being inconsistent than Helly. I think he bounces back this year then sell off after that...

With weekly starts, I have them:
Bobrovsky/Markstrom - starters who will get volume, and you expect the team to be at least decent
Husso/Korpisalo - starters where you expect they will get volume, but they are less safe choices. Husso's team is worse; Korpisalo has more issues himself with play
Talbot - Injury prone, not good, but team is good. He could be starting 45 games, or 15. Avoid, unless desperate.
Francouz - He's the backup if healthy, but on a good team, and he's a good goalie. Likely a guy to stream when they have back to back if healthy.

Hi all,
Where would Grubauer sit in this group? Guessing middle of the pack? Good team, average goalie?

I’m with this, however to me Grubs is type of goalie that follows play of the team… if you think Seattle continuous or even improves over last years strong play then he is your choice here.
If you think they fall off, so will Grubs. Again I think his play is tied more to team’s play than any other goalie out there. He will not stand on his head to steal wins but he also won’t make too many mistakes to cause you to loose… just an average, steady goalie imo.
