If the goalie is being being drafted with the idea of playing this year as well as being kept for next year, I would go:
Gustavsson
Jarry
Vanecek

If the goalie is just for this year and not being kept for next year, I would go:
Jarry
Gustavson
Vanecek

I have kept Jarry the past couple off-seasons because he was the easiest choice. That isn't the case this year. Every year I'll be stuck trying to decide which G to keep because we are only allowed to keep one and the rest go back in for re-drafting. Any of these goalies could be my keeper this year (that's why I'm here) but could just as easily be a different choice next year.

I do think Dubas has a good nose for adding value.
I think PIT will be seriously much improved.
Jarry has .908sv% or better last four full seasons.
That was 17th overall in NHL last year.
There's no skill issue. He was .919sv% the season previous.

re: Jarry injuries.
You'll have to make your own call. He said he was playing through injuries all year.
But also that the injuries were a "not need surgery".

So - there's two lights in which to shed this on Jarry:
Light #1: Jarry is a serious injury concern. He gets injured, he'll miss time.
Light #2: Jarry can play through injuries and post solid numbers (.909sv% ranked him 17th last year).

A 3rd light... what if Jarry comes into camp this year feeling... "good"... healthy?

His win% in starts for Vanecek-NJ is VERY, VERY different from his win% in starts for Schmid-NJ.
Very.very.very.different.

Pattern recognition folk are having headaches because of those numbers... especially when Dobber only puts his faith in Vanecek as starter at 75%.
With the "list" win rates... it should be 90%.

Jarry - New big contract and is the %100 starter on a strong team with huge motivation to win now.

Vanecek - Likely starter with competition in the wings. Small body of good work to look back on.

Gustavsson - in a time share situation. Small sample size. Risk reward type. Could be a home run. Could be the lowest of the three by far.

I am taking the safest choice in Jarry.
