i see the position updates, but when i look at my actual league, i dont see the new position changes added. So is there a chance this is only temporary?

ie: i still see Crosby as C and not C/LW

They had made all those changes on the 17th, many of which were ridiculous (e.g. Crosby given LW), which led to likely a lot of complaints. Yahoo apparently realised their mistakes and reset the positions over the next day or so as they were before the change. Though, as you noticed, the changes are still shown on the eligibility page, which I'm guessing wasn't affected by their reset. Now, we're just waiting to see if they are still planning to add positions and/or fixing those that are clearly wrong. If you use any of those sites or want to comment on the uservoice page, feel free to ask them. The more the merrier.

They've updated a few players, including the obvious wingers that had C-only eligibility (Kempe, Verhaeghe etc.). I don't know if they've caught them all but it's definitely improved.

These changed the morning of my first keeper draft. It swung me keeping Nuge over Erik Karlsson since FWs from the wing are invaluable even if its only like 300. 300 FWs from a centre is pitiful lol

Last season I had Meier, Kyrou, and Svech all as LWs. Maybe even JT Miller iirc but now they are all C/RWs. Maybe I can use this opening as a chance to find a salary cap league I've been wanting to join for a while now.

Good luck. I tried Yahoo for fantasy hockey last year, and will never do it again. I had to help my SO with a football draft for her work league, and she couldn't figure out how to get into the draft room, and then just gave up. I ended up salvaging her team, but I haven't played fantasy football in years, and when there guys I have never heard of going in round 2, that's bad. Their auto-draft rankings are crap for all sports it seems. At least in football it';s really hard to get positions wrong.

This will be an unpopular take but I don't care because I feel pretty strongly about it: player position eligibility should be fluid and not cumulative.

On Yahoo, on your fantasy team roster page under Research->Depth Chart is a listing of the player's current position and it is surprisingly and consistently accurate. Yahoo should simply use that to determine a player's position and not ever allow dual or triple eligibility. Your guy's position changes after the draft? Tough titties, deal with it. You're not a novice, you know enough about these players to plan for it.

Eliminate dual/triple eligibility permanently, that's what I'd do.

Clearly they haven't learned anything from last month's mess up.

Ryan Strome took over 900 faceoffs last year, but let's give him both wing eligibilities but not C.
Jenner - over 700 FOW, but let's give him LW eligibility.
Buchnevich - took a handful of faceoffs last year but rather than wait until the season to see what happens let's give him C eligibility right away.
So many LW/RW players now so maybe should just use the Winger position.

I'm sure there are those that have been fixed (depth wingers who were given C only) but some of these are head scratchers or simply unnecessary this early.

I agree generally, though wouldn't object to a handful of dual that are warranted. But yeah, start of season, get the position correct from the start and give them that position only. Then evaluate during the season.

I noticed this yesterday as I was updating my draft spreadsheet. This brings them more in par for what we are used to with Yahoo. Far better than the first update they did. But still way too many players with dual eligibility. At least it’s mostly depth guys, but still annoying
