Yahoo Position Eligibility Updates

Under Yahoo's Positional change section on your leagues page, they don't have any updates after August 17th, however there was clearly an update after that date. So they are hiding their errors lol.

after that debacle theyre gonna be gun shy adding positions id imagine so i wouldnt count on it. as such, i wouldnt draft a player expecting an additional position to pop up, consider it a bonus if it does happen

Quite possibly the case, which I wouldn't mind if they didn't give several obvious wingers C only eligibility! I'd be happy if they fixed the obvious errors and leave the rest for in-season changes.

I got this message on Friday afternoon - which implies they are not done yet…

Since hockey just opened we are still working with our data provider to provide the most accurate positions.

I don’t really know the intricacies of your league. But I know for me this doesn’t really solve the problem. The main problem I currently see is the amount of wingers being labeled as pure Cs as it really skews the value especially counting FWs. For example Jordan Kyrou is a solid winger option but is currently labelled as C only and that drastically reduces his value.

You would need to go to go to just the F designation to solve that problem but that still causes an issue of inflating the value of anyone who takes face offs

Do we think DeBrincat gets LW back? Didnt he play a ton of LW last year in Ottawa and its his preferred position?

Yeah, that's what my post from earlier today was asking about. I'd seen those comments from Yahoo so was just wondering if anyone had heard anything else more recently as an update. Especially regarding those that are clearly wrong.

I do have Kyrou so this hurts but this is the only change that keeps me in the league. All my wingers have only RW (Meier, Svech, JT, and Toffoli) so Cs and Ws wouldn't hurt that much (we keep 2 RWs and 2 LWs). My only LWs right now are Deslauriers and Blais. I got lots of centers.

Honestly, Yahoo has generally been a clownshoes company the last few years, at least since Verizon bought them. They then sold most of it off to an equity firm, which may or may not help.

They seem to have gotten completely away from their core competencies in being a web portal and mail provider. Fantasy has been an issue there for a while for multiple sports.
