    Pairings?
    D1 Walman(LH)-Seider(RH)
    D2 Chiarot(LH)-Petry(RH)
    D3 Ghost(LH)-Holl(RH)
    Maatta(RH)

I doubt very much these will be the pairings. Not efficient use of strengths and weaknesses. More important will be who gets PP time. Training camp is going to be interesting.

In the next 2 or so years this deal doesn’t really matter. The Wings are not going anywhere with that D corps. Just another slow stop gap for Stevie Y. Essentially buying time. As a Wing fan I’m becoming impatient.

I believe Maatta is a lefty that can play both sides

I'd say Seider is a bigger threat than Petry at this point.

To criticize... but not propose/fix/speculate/improve = weak.
BTW - Maatta is a lefty... so you messed up.

He’ll actually be wearing #46 - which was his fathers number when he pitched for the Tigers.

Average games played over the last 2 seasons:
    Walman - 69.5% (57gp) LD (LHD)
    Seider - 100% (82gp) RD (RHD)
    Chiarot - 91.5% (75gp) LD/RD (LHD)
    Petry - 78.7% (64.5gp) RD (RHD)
    Gostisbehere - 95.7% (78.5gp) LD/RD (LHD)
    Holl - 90.9% (74.5gp) RD (RHD)
    Maatta - 87.8% (72gp) LD (LHD)

    Walman (LHD) - Seider (RHD)
    Chiarot (LHD) - Petry (RHD)
    Gostisbehere (LHD) - Holl (RHD)

I'll say Seider is PPD1, and Gostisbehere is PPD2. Seider will get like the first 1minute to 1:15min then Gostisbehere comes in if nothing happens. Seider stays out there for almost the full 2min if they are going. Chiarot+Petry come in as the first pair after a PP.

Your PK will be Seider+Walman and Chiarot+Petry/Holl. The Pk will be the most interesting as you have Holl who you've paid to be an impact dman, and he is a PK guy. However, you have Seider and Petry who also can do it. They may decided to baby Petry's minutes as he's 35yrs old, and he could sit here and there too.

Ah I had the wrong number damn.

Chase Pearson (2022) and Ben Street (2017) were the last Red Wings to wear #46

Funny. The biggest issue I see is Holl/Ghost. I’d expect Holl with Petry or Seider over Ghost. Those two would be destroyed. Holl was such a bad signing. They’d have been better off keeping Lindstrom.

Just because it’s not THE answer doesn’t mean we need to panic.
