Shout out to Bodega Cafe in Montreal. Was there last week tried the coffee and it was the best filtered coffee I ever had. And the croissants were filthy fresh. Anyways gotta share when I find a great cup of beans.
My favorite brand is La Columbe - I like all their varieties but I'm partial to Rwanda Early Riser and Nizza. I go with whole bean, grind my beans, and use a French Press. In a pinch, I'm also fine with any of the brands in the grocery store as long as the beans are fresh and I use the press.
I have not heard of these brands. Where are they available? Region/country specific?
Honestly the French press makes nearly any fresh beans taste pretty good.

I’m located in Valley Forge PA (west of Philadelphia) and can buy La Columbe at my locale grocery chain (Wegmans).
Agree wholeheartedly that fresh beans and a French press dramatically improves the taste of any coffee.

That’s cool man. I’d love to come see Pennsylvania one day. I’m in Edmonton Alberta so we definitely don’t get those brands here! We do have a thriving local roaster community though!
