Yeah... fantasy football is nuts/crazy/weird.
That's why it bothers me when people get their panties all bunched up about it.

Two weeks ago I stayed up and watched the Chiefs on MNF.
Mahomes throws an absolute gorgeous 52yd TD pass to Marcus Valdez-Scantling in the end zone.
6pts for me.... I'll win match.
MVS just drops it.
H2H match loss.
And this happens every week, in every league... unavoidable!

^ Noticed in the above summary that I have the most points against in the league, with Goon Squad right behind me, and then more than a 30 point gap between us and 3rd most PA, and over 65 points between the two of us and 4th most PA.

Given that, along with losing my first and second round picks to injury, and my QB, feel pretty decent about the results I put up this season. Not going to make the playoffs but a tough out every week, I'll take it I guess. Onwards and upwards to next season!

I remmeber I had a season where I had the most points in the league by >100 and missed the playoffs.
Fantasy football is such a fickle sport.

I remember listening to a podcast where where they talked about unique ways to adjsut for the 'luck' of fantasy football.

One league discussed how the final two playoff spots were determined.

1) The most points for off all the non playoff teams.
- I like this because the team with the most points of the non-playoff team clearly had the least amount of schedule luck and likely has the most playoff worthy team.

2) The most points score of the non-playoff teams in the final week of the regular season.
- I don't like this one, as it can reward the team that has one good week.
- I do see the potential benefit of this one helping out the team that had bad injury luck through he season.
- But it could also reward the team that takes all the draft day chances (like suspensions or early season injuries) and knows they only have to do really good for one week of the season to make playoffs.

I havent been a tough out most weeks I've lost. In fact, I've probably been an easy win for a few teams so far this year but losing my 1st round pick for the season early on (Chubb), my 4th round pick and starting QB (Burrow) and my #2 WR from the 6th round early on (Williams), it's been a tough season. Add in the fact that my 2nd round pick (Garrett Wilson) was drafted based on Aaron Rodgers expectations, along with my 3rd round pick (Breece Hall), my season has been shite!

A+ draft ranking my ass.

I was looking at WR stats the other day, sorting everybody by yards, receptions, tds... and targets.
The disparity (is that right word? idk?) btw Wilson's targets and catches is WAY different from the rest of the receivers.
Basically shows that the NJ QB is *trying* to throw to him... but probably sucking at it.

I feel the converse with Mahomes this season.
Other than Kelce... his WRs are dropping sooooooo many of his passes.
I try not to watch now! LOL. Bad pick Peng. Bad. Pick.

Ya, that's crazy. I am currently in 10th place in tier 1 with a 5-7 record and I am the worst in the league in points for with 1032.98.

Top 2 get a bye
Top 6 make upper tier playoffs
7-12 make toilet bowl playoffs
#13, #14 are relegated (depending on Tier II "qualifiers" and forum activity)

And it looks as though anybody could be yet relegated from the bottom 6... though WMWWMJJ and Hate the Drake (rataylor22) look close to safe with four teams at 4-9.

#4 The Pitt Diggsers vs #13 Goon Squad (The Goon Squad has long be a upper 6 playoff team in this league - tough, tough year... looking at relegation)
#5 Turtes (Kofax) vs #7 Frisky Hobbit (The Comish) - winner is 100% into upper tier playoffs as either #5 or #6 seed
#6 O-Bijan (P7) vs #10 Hate the Drake (given match above, P7 is in with a win vs fellow WHL co-commissioner)
#8 TDs N Beer (Axe33) vs #9 WMWWMJJ
#11 Don Bosco Eagles (pmorrow) vs #12 Team IR (Zorro) - loser is looking at Relegation

I'll attribute some of my lower standings points to coasting through the middle of the season a bit having looked at my upcoming schedule and overall team options and trading two healthy and productive players in Henry and Pittman for an injured Jefferson. Hopefully that and waiting out the Achane injury pay off over the last few weeks.
I think I'm out of luck for a bye though.

Unfortunately, when one gets serious about "Things thou shall not get serious about"... then P7 also gets serious about those getting serious about things one shall not get serious about.
