Based on responses, latest date that seems to work for most is Tuesday, August 29th.
We'll go with that. 9pm Eastern. That should accommodate our west-coasters.
I'll update to Yahoo! site.

Good draft last night.
15 rounds x 14 teams = 210 players in about 1hr 45min.
I'll have my own team summary up this morning.
Draft is on first page of this thread (I still have to "clean up" the formatting a bit... damn Yahoo cut/paste).
It was a fun draft as always. Love the banter.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My team:
O-Bijan Kenobi
I spent probably 2 hours watching YouTube videos and researching the past two days.
This is a lot more than I usually do for the draft.
But after getting my draft position (7th/14) - I found out that my favourite site (fantasypros.com) made a big7 in their Tier 1.
https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/rank...heatsheets.php
While I like this feeling... living in Atlanta... I love having a Falcons player since the ATL game is always on, everywhere.
I may even be able to watch it on high-def antenna feed. (And... I have a new 65" TV with ATSC 3.0... so here's hoping!)
One video I watched had some interesting (new for me) numbers information.
It says that the rate of players "hitting" is much higher at WR & TE & QB... than RB.
That's because RBs just... they get injured... but you still have to have two.
And so that risk has to be eaten... somewhere, somehow.
So that's why the "Zero RB" has caught steam in recent years... because they are bound to trip up, get injured, and somebody comes in.
The theory is... "Might as well have several, throw darts, some RB2 will get in when the RB1 goes down.".
WRs (& premium TE) are just way more solid & unlikely to get injured.
That said - there's only a few (maybe... 14... through "Tier 3") really solid RBs.
I listened/watched several people say their confidence falls off sharply after that group.
If you get ONE... you can run a "Hero RB" strategy.
If you happen to get TWO... you can run a "Double Hero RB".
But the big stat one guy presented is the rate of RB-failure in the draft "Dead Zone" - which is round 4-7.
The stats were there too... which is that the greatest failure rate for players is RBs in those middle-rounds.
If the guy is an "iffy" RB1 to start the year... that's the greatest chance of him not hitting.
The guy I watched do a 14-team mock... he said, either get your RBs in rounds 1-3... or load up in rounds 8-onwards.
Here's my team:
O-Bijan Kenobi
1. (7) Bijan Robinson (Atl - RB)
2. (22) Patrick Mahomes (KC - QB)
3. (35) Aaron Jones (GB - RB)
4. (50) DJ Moore (Chi - WR)
5. (63) Chris Godwin (TB - WR)
6. (78) Christian Kirk (Jax - WR)
7. (91) Evan Engram (Jax - TE)
8. (106) Damien Harris (Buf - RB)
9. (119) Odell Beckham Jr. (Bal - WR)
10. (134) Adam Thielen (Car - WR)
11. (147) Gus Edwards (Bal - RB)
12. (162) Younghoe Koo (Atl - K)
13. (175) New Orleans (NO - DEF)
14. (190) Michael Gallup (Dal - WR)
15. (203) Curtis Samuel (Was - WR)
Round 1: Bijan Robinson (7): RB1. Ultimately, I had hoped Kelce would fall. But this group is pretty sharp about general strategy. Kelce went 4... after the consensus 3 (Jeff,CMC,Chase). I prefer Bijan over Kupp just for the root-ability listed above.
Round 2: Pat Mahomes (22): QB1. I love getting an elite QB because you only need to roster one. Flex one in on the bye week... and then back to QB1. Keeps more bench spots available. I've never owned Mahomes and KC is always on and fun to root for. I knew there was a good chance to get one of the elite 3 QBs at the 22 spot (2-8). Hurts went first... and I chose Mahomes (for fun) over Josh Allen.
Round 3: Aaron Jones (35): RB2. He's aging... but he's still a very reliable back and the kid (Love) should look for him often as easy check. This was nice - to go Double-Hero-RB as I only had to focus on WR,TE for next 5-6 rounds. I just don't know that much about fantasy football - so focusing on one or two positions for "research during draft" works better for me. I would've gone Mark Andrews (28) here if available. He was pegged 30-32ish... but rataylor wisely sniped him at his round 2/3 turn.
Round 4: DJ Moore (50): WR1. I don't love this pick because Fields is/was a bit of shitty passer. But hopefully he's the top target for Fields. This said - Fields is probably going to run for any TDs within 8 yards... so the TDs probably won't be there. Ugh. Still... he was highest rated WR on the board per fantasypros... and I defer to that collective of FF minds. I wanted Jeudy (49), but he was sniped one pick ahead. I also considered C.Watson (53) but I didn't want to bottle up flex-bye issues with a second GB. I was prepared to take TE3 Hockinson (41) here, if available - who was listed at 50 on fantasypros... but he was well gone.
Round 5: Chris Godwin (63): WR2. Godwin's not sexy, but he's solid. And TB QB should be able to find him. A couple experts didn't think TBs QBs were going to be able to hit Evans way downfield and will defer to Godwin for simpler routes. I'm on board with that sort of theory take. If I hadn't had the two RBs early - I would've reached for James Cook (72) here. Nice pick.
Round 6: Christian Kirk (78): WR3/Flex. Gotta love the emergence of Trevor Lawrence - hopefully this opens up Kirk's stats! Staying with my WRs. I would've taken J.Cook here if he fell, but unsurprisingly - he did not.
Round 7: Evan Engram (91): TE1. Fantasypros had Engram as TE8, near the end of their TE4-TE9 tier2. I just barely goth him with Freirmuth going before and Njoku going after.
Round 8: Damien Harris (106): First Flex-In. If Cook is too raw - nice to have a vet. He'll be my bye week patch when any of the previous guys are out.
Round 9-on... meh.
I know "kids" have the upside... but I went with some vets for steady points in my Flex.
I actually feel pretty good about this team as long as Bijan, A.Jones, and Mahomes do their thing.
For shits & giggles... I took ATL's kicker... Koo... in Round 12.
This is just for enjoying those local Falcons games on TV.
It's an "always" reason to root for them to score.
But... I was just so disappointed. I had two guys (Roschon and Kincaid) as my top two guys in queue for... like 15 picks before my next.
And 13 picks go...
And there's ONLY two picks before mine... so I'm likely getting ONE...
And they BOTH go. SNIPE. SNIPE.
It was a sign from the gods to just take Koo - who I had confidently placed as #3 on my queue! Ha. Fantasy football gods are cruel!
Well every year I wait and end up chasing waiver wire garbage. I knew I was going Kelce with pick 4 and I told myself I'd take a QB with my 2nd or 3rd pick depending who was available.
Would I have done this in a money league.......................................I guess we'll never know.
