PLD is a good pick here imo. I think LAK is going to be better this year. So Kempe good pick too.

7.5 Tom Wilson

Wilson still gets a decent amount of points / PPP while building Hits and PIM. I prefer the greater points/PPP SOG of Wilson to Jeannot's greater Hits.

Strength: Hits, PIM
Weakness: SOG, +/-
Bonus: Wilson needs to stay healthy and avoid suspension. A full season will provide me with lots of extra value.
Round Winner: I think Wilson has potential of being a winner here, but because of the concerns, I'm going with Trocheck.
Round Loser: This is really hard to put... but I'm going to have to go with Goal Caufield. I don't think his nice Goals and SOG will offset the lack of other categories and bad +/-. Though he does mesh with tweetdrivr's team well, having a really strong +/- built up can absorb Caufield's minuses, but I think this pick could have waited. I have Caufield down for 72 GP.

8.10 Pavel Buchnevich

With the Wilson pick last round it afforded me some space to go back to looking for points. I'm looking at 30g 45a 20+ PPP.

Strength: G,A,PPP
Weakness: BLK, HITS, PIM, SOG
Bonus: Buchnevich's mother, Yelena Razumova, is a former competitive skier.
Round Winner: Joel Eriksson Ek, pretty good stat filler, and at 421 gp 26 years old he's just starting to enter his prime. I expect career best.
Round Loser: Tempted to go with Markstrom, but as a volume goalie I can't... I'll go with another 'Jacob' in Chychrun. Maybe he flourishes on a new team, but I'm not too excited.

I agree on Chychrun - too many uncertainties for my liking at this point.

He's never played over 68 games (and that was his rookie year) in a season. Not good in a league like this one.

9.5 Sam Bennett

I needed someone with some Hits, PIM, and good +/-. I can afford to sacrifice some points to obtain this.

Strength: PIM, SOG, Hits
Weakness: BLK, PTS
Bonus: At this point in the draft Bennett hits all the cats pretty good.
Round Winner: Kreider, Lots of goals while still putting up good sog, hits and +/-.
Round Loser: Werenski. Really low BLKS, HITS, PIM with injury history.

Bennett is a player I always have my eye on, for his decent point production and great peripherals. I was disappointed I didn't get him on my team in this league. The only downside to Bennett is he misses the odd games here and there throughout the year due to his style of play, so in a league with no IR that's not ideal. But if he can have a decently healthy year, he will be fantastic value for a 9th round pick.
