In hindsight - Karlsson may have been the better pick and the pick of the round. Stamkos down there seems to be very good value too
3.5 Erik Karlsson
I wanted a Dman. I usually open with a 2F 1D opening sometimes 1F 2D. Still wanting high points I went with Erik Karlsson and banked on him leaving SJS bettering his +/-
Strength: Goals, Assists, PPP
Weakness: Blocks, Hits
Bonus: Ended up going to Pittsburgh. That PP should be lethal!
Round Winner: Zibanejad. He should have went earlier imo.
Round Loser: Kuemper. I have several yet to be drafted goalies ahead of him.

Is possible. He's got to stay healthy.

4.10 Sasha Barkov
Still picking for points. At 70 GP mark he will surpass Tavares point total.
Strength: Goals, Assists, PPP, +/-
Weakness: Blocks, Hits, PIM
Bonus: I scuffed at the Tavares pick at the time...
Round Winner: Tavares pick
Round Loser: Sebastian Aho maybe...? Of course with 4 goalies picked again this round one of them is bound to fail.

I don't believe the difference between Makar and Dahlin is large, it's just that Dahlin seems more durable. In a normal league the injury risk matters less. Here, there's no replacements for IR or playoffs that matter more, just a season grind, and I'd probably go Dahlin for more games, but I'm likely in minority.
12 team Yahoo Roto keeper (keep 3)
9 F, 6 D; roster 3 G max
G,A,PPP,SOG,BLKS,HITS - W,SO,SV%,Saves
F: B Tkachuk, Stutzle, Eriksson Ek, Necas, Konecny, Cooley, Boldy, Lehkonen, Tippett
D: Dahlin, Seider, Matheson, Durzi, Addison, Mintyukov
G: Hill, Husso
IR:
Bench: L Hughes, Merzlikins, Terry, Tuch
I think I’d still go Makar and give him one more year to see where he’s at

Figured this would be a good spot to throw this...
I'm getting the glossy-eyed look with my Yahoo mocking now, and am going to go through one Fantrax one. They run less frequently, and the next one is 3pm today.

5.5 Josh Morrissey
Was looking for a high point defenseman while still covering some peripherals. The debate was between Montour and Morrissey.
Strength: A, PPP
Weakness: +/-, PIM, SOG
Bonus: 4 teams still without a goalie.
Round Winner: Moritz Seider, massive BLKS/HITS that still puts up 50+ pts.
Round Loser: Gaudreau, I think CBJ will improve slightly from last year, but I see just a point/GP player that offers nothing but A/PPP and decent SOG.

Ya... My most comparable is probably Barkov... At least he gets a little more in those two cats and has great +/-

I was quite happy to get seider in this league, and I’m hoping to get him in my other league draft too. Though he might be kept by another gm.
6.10 Travis Konecny
Just starting to consider my teams weaknesses, but emphasis is still put on point totals.
PIM is an area of weakness right now so I saw a chance to address that while maintaining a good ~ppg player.
Strength: G, PIM
Weakness: +/-
Bonus: I can't remember drafting a Flyer since drafting Sean Couturier for the 2017-18 season
Round Winner: Trouba. Huge BLK HITS +/- advantage with that pick and good PIM. Making it real hard for me to catch this team in those cats.
Round Loser: Dobson. I feel there are several other Dman left that are ahead of him.

I know what's coming next round, I can feel it. In retrospect, I probably could have waited another round or two. I'm not sure I would've gotten him two rounds later though.
As for my pick this round - PLD - there's uncertainty to him, but like M Tkachuk last year, he has something to prove. I think he'll be motivated to perform well and I believe the upside of him is a good bet for this season.
