In a one year I’d take Bedard in the last two rounds. Of course he’ll never be available there so he won’t be my one year teams.

I went back to last year for this mock draft. I didn’t take a G until round 10. Finished top 3 in every goalie cat except SV% - was middle of the pack there. It was my F picks that screwed me. Hubredeau in the 1st rd. Brown and Norris played like 8 games combined. Just crap.

You (and I as well) also got royally screwed by skater injuries.

Yes we did. You in particular. I added up everyone’s games lost to injury at one point over half way and you and I were way ahead of the league with you as the clear front runner.

There's a bit of a risk to drafting guys like EK though - either great or injured.

Bouchard pick nice, he's one I will have to dive into deeper and get a good read one.

I'm thinking my pick will drop in pts but have an uptick in BLK Shots, so probably will just get injured.

I've been up (unintentionally) since 4am - effin nightmares/bad thoughts.
I've been up intentionally since 6am - making breakfast, packing lunches, prepping backpacks - first kid on the bus before 7am on weekdays.
Yeah... we start August 1st where I live.

Thanks @Invictus, Bouchard feels like a relatively safe pick with good upside, but who knows? He hasn't produced a full season yet. All players come with some drawbacks and uncertainties at this stage though. At least EK65 seems to be out of the picture for Edmonton. I'd still want it to happen. ...maybe if Pittsburgh ends up out of the playoff race..?

I think so. I picked Bouchard for the Playoff pool and glad I did! Let's hope he continues that for a full season.
The thing is it wasn't just a playoff thing, Bouchard's uptick in points started with the addition of Ekholm. So I'm confident in him having a noticeable jump in production this year.
