RE: message board

They did that in baseball and then added a 'League Chat' feature that operates in a similar way, and can be accessed in the same place. I haven't used it much so can't say how it compares to the old message board.

It seems they haven't put it on hockey yet (only the chat function in the bottom right on desktop) so hopefully they will add the additional functionality soon.

Crap. They had it for a day and then removed it. The message board had a good purpose and I don't see why they had to remove it, unless it was to force people into their app... I wonder if they'll reverse the decision if enough people complain about it?
edit: maybe it's time to move over to Fantrax instead.

Finished 11ppp down (320, 309 to Team 8).
Finished +43 up (+187, +144 to Team 4).
Assists are tight.

Find alternate to D.Toews, same assists, more PPP, less +/- fine.

The tough thing... is sometimes if you mess with the order - a player ends up on another team and drives their points higher in some standings.
Delicate balance - but I'm down to tweaking the round #10 D. Going to try Pietrangelo, Doughty, and/or Rasmus... in place of D.Toews (I need more PPP and less +/-).

Nope. 99/100 with Pietrangelo in for D.Toews (came up 9 hits short... 1093 to 1084).

About to try with Doughty.
Nope. 99/100 with Doughty... including two first place TIES (2933-2933, in SOG & 362-362 in Goals). Ugh.

About to try with Rasmus Andersson.
Nope. 98/100 with him. (Tie in A 584/584... Tie in PPP 320/320... 2nd in Hits 1093/1075)

Yeah. It's a fun little challenge I set up a few years ago.
You try to draft a team that will finish with FULL/PERFECT points in Roto Projected Standings.
There are 10 categories & max points is # teams in each category, so:
8-teams: 80.0pts max
10-teams: 100.0pts max
12-teams: 120.0pts max
14-teams: 140.0pts max


You just open up a mock - against all "bots" - no real people (that'll throw things off).
You draft. Keep an eye on "Standings" tab - which is defaulted to 2023-24 projected standings.

Draft your team, see how high you can get.

(WHY do this? Well... one could just sort & draft the highest PROJ rank players - but you might not get enough LW... or RW... or D.
And if one just takes the highest "projected" standings rank - they often end up overdrafting HITS... so its good practice to keep "balance" in check while drafting.)

My app has completely stopped working. Anytime I try to access a team or league it glitches and closes. I’ve deleted and re-installed 6 times and same result. Anyone else? I’m also having trouble with the desktop version. I keep seeing last years standings and there isn’t a drop down to select this season as there used to be.

No issues here other than the super buggy chat that has been an issue for months

Yahoo customer support responded just now and said yes there is an issue with hockey and basketball leagues that were renewed through the app.

Yahoo released an update this morning and the app is working as advertised now.
