I thought about trying that too but went a different route because I assumed that it would have to be a player from the current Jets/Thrashers franchise. The original Jets that Selanne played for are now the Coyotes.

I would be curious though whether a player that played for a franchise that moved would count (ie Selanne for a Arizona/Anaheim overlap even though he never actually played for the Coyotes)

Players and stats follow the franchise when relocated. This means that players like Kovalchuk count for present day Winnipeg Jets
Teams that have been moved back under the same name do not count as the same team. 1990s Winnipeg Jets don't count as present day Jets
