    Default Offseason Drop Decisions

Looking for some assistance with the dynasty league details in my signature. Have to move about 10 players to have enough space for draft picks. All players on an active contract must be bought out @ 25%, but anyone signing a new deal or transitioning to an extension can be dropped for free.

    My current drop considerations are:
Heinen - UFA with low scoring output - Free drop
Lemieux - UFA with low scoring output - Free drop
Lauko - RFA with low scoring output - Free drop
Cernak - New deal makes him expensive for his FP output - Free drop
Samuelsson - New deal makes him expensive for his FP output - Free drop
Laaksonen - 23 year old prospect who has made no NHL impact - Free drop
Logan Stanley - Pending contract due to low fantasy output - Free drop
Mikhail Berdin - Not signed with an NHL team. 25 year old goalie prospect who's path to the NHL seems unlikely - Free drop

Of the players listed above, are there any I should consider holding? Of the remaining roster in my signature is there anyone else who I should consider dropping to make room for incoming draft picks?

I think Logan Stanley might be useful for you. If he plays a full season he's likely getting 350 combined SOG/BLK/Hit. I don't think he'll be very expensive at all.

Agreed on Stanley, he's a wait and see based on contract. Might be time to move on from a few of the 23 year old products unfortunately.

May be worth seeing if there are any trade opportunities for Cernak and Samuelsson - I'd be surprised if they have no value in a league with an inflated total cap like yours. Both are young enough and should have serviceable production to be on someone's roster.

    I agree with all drops.
Defensive-defensemen are usually pretty smart/easy drops in fantasy hockey.
There just isn't fantasy hockey stats that capture the real-NHL value of a D-man that can limit opposing chances.
    Let them go. (incl. Stanley)
