I can't recall the any player making $10m or more being traded mid-contract.

This is the first big move Dubas will have made as Pitts GM.

Screwing this up impacts the next 2-4 years.

I'm sure he wants to keep prospects that can step in this year - Poulin/Ty Smith/PO Joseph.
I imagine SJ would like a prospect that is NHL ready as part of the return,
not to mention cap retention/buyouts/sending $$ back.

This likely goes down as the most complicated trade completed in the cap era
