I’m personally not sure I’d want $3.225M on my 24-25 cap (not sure how Brown is worth $4M) but $775k is a nice number for this year.

If he hits his bonuses and earns the extra money, it means he did something right. That's a good thing and worth paying for. People criticize Holland for not being creative but this is creative for me, and a gamble worth investing in.

The bonuses only carry over of they need to. Hopefully the Oilers can be under the cap and accrue space over the season.

The entire bonus is for 10 games played so it's highly likely he gets the full bonus.

Lol, true enough. I thought there was more performance bonuses in there so thats on me for not doing my fact check before replying. I'm still fine with it. Pushing in the chips.

His first 9 haven't been good, but I'm not surprised that he's slow out of the gate. New team, new coach, new system. That takes time. Then you add in that he barely played last year, you had to know he's be slow out of the gate. They got him for the stretch run and playoffs. It's a marathon, not a sprint. He'll get there but it's going to take some time. I'm less worried about Brown than I am their defensive system.
