I really like this for NJ.
Toffoli is someone I've always been disappointed in, I just always felt he had a gear that he never got to. He's been pretty consistent last few years though, great secondary scoring option behind the big guns in NJ and at a reasonable price.

It's just as if... I don't know... they should have just accepted their fate last year and trade Tkachuk for solid future asset.
Or then flip Huberdeau for a king's ransom at the deadline.

There was zero need to do this deal right now.

Indeed, it feels light if you consider the Newhook and Dubois deals that took place yesterday.
Not the same parameters obviously, but Toffoli just scored 34 goals!
On trade deadline, that has to fetch a 1st rounder.
