(most of the Leafs fans folks hate aren't real. They're an apparition or media created distortion of reality.

Totally agree.

But you gotta admit the doofuses chanting “We want Florida” kind of does put a face on at least one segment of the fanbase.

Yet every team has them, god knows there are some moron Habs fans out there that make me cringe!

For me two things:

- The idiotic handing the trophy to billionaire white owner and his wife, as if that guy sweated out a seven-game series. Thankful that hockey does it so right.

- Advertising as others have mentioned, but especially now… GAMBLING. On every freaking telecast, podcast, etc. Horrible.

I hate the sports gambling thing because NHL players are allowed to advertise sports gambling, but not allowed to advertise a beer.

NFL commentators who don't mention how many games there were in a season at the time a single season record was set. There is a lot of buzz about Justin Jefferson being the first 2,000 yard receiver this season. He may get there but he has 17 games to do it. I would like to see more per game stats when the networks show single season records. The NFL only played 14 games until 1977.
