The guy has been coaching since 1987 holy. He was 24yrs old when he started coaching at "Colby College" in NCAA III. He then moved to NCAA, coached some USA WJC teams, assistant with the Islanders, head coach at the AHL level, back to NCAA for head coaching, Back up to the NHL as an assistant, then AHL for head coaching. Man he's bounced around.

Not necessarily. I'd also prefer a fresh face compared to a recycled hire, but that doesn't mean this particular fresh face is a perfect choice. Lots of fresh faces are also terrible lol.

He co-founded the USNDT program and has a reputation for being very good at developing young players. Should be a good fit for where the ducks are as a team.

It's good to see a guy get a shot when he's paid his dues working his way to the top level.
Do I know if he'll succeed? Nope, none of us do. But at least he's not a retread failure getting yet another shot.

Yeah it’s definitely nice to see a fresh face there. It’s just that there are plenty of assistant coaches and AHL coaches who have had their names thrown around. This was literally the first time I’ve heard of this guy.
I hope it works out for the Ducks, they have some good young players and it would be nice to see them get back to relevance
