I don't get the length of that. The difference between Pietrangelo's play and that is 1 game? It should have been even. Makar shouldn't have been the same as Pietrangelo. And Bunting getting 1 more game than Benn? It's all so random.

While I agree Benn deserved 2+ games the lack of consistency is beyond frustrating.

Yup, the only consistency in the suspensions is inconsistency.

I really hope Dallas can make a series of this.

If Vegas wins tonight - does that mean we will have whole week without any games?
Or will they start the finals a whole lot earlier than anticipated.

The tentative date for the SCF to start is June 3rd, but nothing is confirmed and they can move it up.

My guess is if it ends tonight. Tuesday or Thursday is the SCF start date.

NBA Finals start June 1st so lol. Maybe not they don't start Thursday lol.

NBA Schedule is already set as:
June 1st, June 4th, June 7th, June 9th, June 12th, June 15th, June 18th (No Saturday games).

Exactly! That would have went down in history as the worst Conference Finals week ever!!

After watching game one of both the NHL conference finals - I thought for certain we were gonna get long series in both of them.

I think the announcers jinxed it. I am pretty sure the intermission crew said during both game 1's :

'This series is going to go 6 or 7 games'

I wanted sweeps in the NHL so we can talk about how the NHL playoff format might need to change from a bracket to re-seeding.

2nd round would have been:
Vegas vs Seattle
Oilers vs Dallas
Carolina vs Florida
Devils vs Leafs

It's a small change but I don't get how the bracket is still a thing. The whole "builds rivalries" is dated in my opinion. It takes yrs to build it, and by the time it pays off, the teams aren't the same. Should be 1v8, reseeding.

But it's nice to get the semis extended a bit.

The bracket is all about money/gambling. As such it will not change. Even though the officiating is arbitrary at best and collusion at worst and they still play the injury information games, the NHL considers itself a player in sports gambling. So we’re stuck with the bracket.

This might be giving too much credit to the decision makers in the NHL... they are not that quick to react.

They would never see it as a bracket issue.

If they missed it when the Jets and Predators were both top teams in the league and played each other in the 2nd round...
then they will continue to miss it over and over again.

I do agree - I would much rather see the re-seeding... but the NHL moved away from that,
I can not see them switching back to it and admitting they were wrong,

Or at least not while the Coyotes are still in the desert.
