Haha, love it! Nice that we'll finish on time. I'm good at regular season points pools but all over the place when it comes to playoffs. So hard to predict who will go far vs. get upset early.

Ya was really looking at Montour... But I already had Barkov for the incase of upset.
I just felt that upset is pretty low chance and it was better to keep with my strategy of bulking up on TBL players.

Happy with my team. Drafting at the turn there's not a ton of flexibility early on, as you need to grab the top two guys off of one team and hope that not too many more go from them before the round 3/4 turn. The Rangers are definitely one of my top-four teams, as I think they come out of the MET side of the bracket, and maybe on to the finals. Having them be my primary team made a lot of sense. Once I had a comfortable set of Rangers, I looked over at the West and no one had gone from VGK yet. It makes sense as EDM is the favourite in that quarter of bracket, but I think VGK, DAL, COL, and EDM are the four favourites in the West, so being able to load up on one as my secondary was great.

Having one team in each conference to go heavy on, and then taking a couple of top guys on some of the dark-horse teams usually serves me pretty well as an overall strategy. Getting a couple SEA guys plus Reinhart is a fair gamble for my last four picks.

If either NYR or VGK make the finals I'm in good shape for a podium finish anyways.

This draft starting out like my mock draft team... injuries!

I don't really do playoff drafts as I like to sit back and just enjoy the playoffs without fantasy hockey implications, but felt this year I wasn't too invested in cheering for any teams so good time to play.

I'm feeling happy about my draft. Went do or die on the Lightning. I feel people faded them a little much as I didn't feel much pressure later on in the draft to pick up more TBL players which allowed me to pick up some great producers on other teams to help round out my team and give me a little advantage if some upsets occur. I think Tampa is as good a team as any to stack up on.
I did think during the draft that maybe I could of snagged Kaprizov earlier in the draft and still get Pavelski, but hearing that tweetdrivr would of picked up Pavelski proves that wrong.

Higher seeds have gone 2-6 to open the playoffs. I believe about 69% of the time the team that wins game one wins the series in the history of best of 7 in the NHL. Some upsets coming.
