At the end of the day , not enough political connections to get this done .

I'd imagine AZ ownership will turn a tidy profit selling the team , maybe the can pay their Glendale arena debt on the way out .

All options to get relocations. Houston to me makes the most sense. Atlanta would work too with the new expansion draft rules and knowing their mistakes on arena location.

It's so minor, but the Arena in Hamilton was scheduled for large renos through the summer going for 2yrs. They kicked out the Hamilton Bulldogs essentially, then said the renos would start at the end of summer. Then said it would start after the Disney on Ice comes in December, now Disney on Ice is saying they've scheduled events in 2024 in Hamilton. Maybe they are stalling till this Coyotes thing gets sorted out. But again, I doubt they will ever get a team, but doesn't stop them from setting up a bid

I sincerely hope that this puts an end to the debacle that has been the Arizona Coyotes. The good news is that Bettman is already working on a deal to re locate this franchise to the hot bed of hockey that is Baton Rouge Louisiana (:

Quebec City, Hamilton, Halifax .... forget it, welcome the Baton Rouge Swampers to the NHL!!!!

I really feel like it's not the city that fails a team, it's the team that fails the city. And it was years of neglect by ownership towards the city, but when it looked like they were turning it around, the city finally is telling them to kick rocks.

Good on the city for rejecting it.
