    Default What’s up with Raymond?!

    Hello all!

Looking at acquiring Raymond (league in signature). We know Larkin is producing better without him, so I’m wondering what’s going on with him? Everything pointed out at Raymond being a future star, but his sophomore slump is intense considering all the TOI and PPT he’s getting. Anyone watched Detroit games that could enlighten me?

Thx a lot for the input!

young player struggling in 2nd year....not like that never happened in NHL before....

Depending on how knowledgeable the owner is, maybe you can get him on small discount. I would not be selling low at all but some may...

I do understand your reasoning, and I tend to agree with you. His case seemed particular in the sense of how well Larkin does without him. Usually the top 6 minutes and PP time comes gradually, therefore a logical explanation of the sophomore slump (not steady minutes usually explain the slump). In his case, he got all the minutes and PP time.
    Maybe I’m overthinking this.

Thx for the response! And thx for future inputs.

He's been hurt off and on this year so that could be playing into it too.

All of the above. Sophomore slump + injuries.

He started very slow but then was very good from November on. But then the injuries started....

I think Raymond's struggles and the reasons for that have already been nicely touched on. Raymond may well be a potential buy low candidate but the value in acquiring him now will not pay off this year, there will be a bit of a wait until he sorts things out and shakes off the injury bug. In your situation, a keep 12, acquiring him really doesn't seem like a good idea as he is clearly not a keeper for you and his production will not be better ROS than the other forwards you have if your sig is accurate.

Signature is accurate. Our deadline has passed, I was testing the field for summer trades (trading away older vets for a younger core).
Happy to read that, at first sight, there’s no big problem.
