How many D and how many wingers do you start each week Ross?
Picking up on J Status\' excellent article (http://www.dobberhockey.com/content/view/1468/1/), I am mulling over possible offers to make to acquire Jovanovski.
Would you give up Clowe to get him (it\'s pretty much a straight up trade, as I would probably add VanRyn, who is a recent waiver pickup for me, in return for his 2nd rounder next year).

We play 5 defensemen and 9 forwards (3 or 4 centermen and 5 or 6 wingers) each week.
Jovo would probably be next to Kaberle and Campbell in my D depth chart, and just ahead of Visnovsky maybe.

Jovo might get to where Dobber is saying, but I\'m starting to have my doubts. We are now 15 games into the season. When is it going to happen? 20 games....25...how about 30? When is the time to pull the plug on the guy. I have taken a lot of offers for him in the last week or so, which bugs me because i think guys must be coming here now and reading the atticles....lol....but in all seriousness, I\'m not sure how much longer i want to hold onto him. I got offered Redden, a 9th round pick in 09 and a 2nd in our supplemntal draft. Good offer, but i turned it down. This week with 4 games and 1 point in 2 games so far doesn\'t do a lot to make me feel that he is going to break out of it very soon. I\'m very frustrated.
Head to Head League: 1 point for G, 1 point for A. 2 for Goalie win, 3 for SO.
Start 6 guys every week. 3 O, 2 D and 1G. No substitutions once they are in (before the first game starts on Monday).
Protect 3 players every year in keeper.
10 rounds of drafting
F: Crosby, Point, P. Kane, JVR, Kopitar, Rakell, Tarasenko,
D: Letang, Doughty, Karlsson, Grzelcyk, Faulk,
G: Bob, Shesterkin, Demko, Kahkonen
Baumer, I hear you, but he is taking lots of shots (15th among NHL Dmen) and last night he was robbed bby Luongo on a blast that shiould have been a sure goal. Phoenix is underperforming right now offensively, but once Jokinen and Doan really start rolling, I would think he\'ll get untracked and start to produce.

I hear you. And that is why i am holding onto him. I have seen a few of the Coyotes games. He looks very good out there, very very good but he just isn\'t scoring. I\'m going to give it another 8 games. I just picked up Spacek and i have Perry and Hossa so my offense in a head to head league is fine, but i need his points.

I know Dobber has him ranked lower but I like Lubomir to bounce back quicker
13 team points only keeper
2C, 2LW, 2RW, 3D and 1G plus 5 player bench
Keep 6 plus entire farm

D: Karlsson, Phaneuf, Bouwmeester
G: Pavelic
Bench: Malkin, Savard, Langenbrunner, Markov, Brouwer
Farm: Frolik, Gagner, Little, Turris, B. Connolly, Kuznetsov, Ekman-Larson
Jason, I pegged Visnovsky as bringing in at least 50 and possibly 55-65 points with that Oilers offense. It hasn\'t worked out so far, but it\'s not like he\'s playing badly. So I would agree with you, probably Visnovsky will be ahead of Jovo on my depth chart, but not by much. Jovo, once he gets rolling, is very close to Visnovsky in terms of points only fantasy value.
Let\'s put it this way, having Jovo and Visnovsky fight for 3rd on my D depth chart is a VERY nice situation for me!
Now, back to my question to everyone, would you trade Clowe for Jovanovski? That\'s teh key. Clowe is playing VERY well so I am not sure.

That\'s a tough one Ross.
Clowe is playing lights out right now, so his value is probably as high as it is going to go. Jovo, on the other hand is colder than an ice cube, the ultimate buy low candidate.
I don\'t see Clowe doing this all season, so my thinking is that he\'s going to go into a funk and level out.
Jovo has been snake bitten so far. He\'s getting lots of ice time, taking a ton of shots; they just aren\'t finding they\'re way into the net. I still see him getting close to 45 points. Liek you said, it sure would be nice having those two \'fighting it out\' to see who is your number 3 guy.
I would make the trade. I think in the long term you\'ll come out ahead.
Just my $.02
on fantasy hockey hiatus!!!
I\'m tired of him, now. Three games this week and one friggin point aint cutting it. I think I\'m going to trade him. Can\'t wait around for him all season.
