Oettinger vs Shesterkin - for the rest of this year

I'm in a dynasty league where I have the 2 goalies listed. Neither is being dealt.

The category is SV%. Yes, there is one goalie category, and every +/- .03% difference between my goalie and my opponents goalie every week helps/hurts.

Which one would you start normally?

Normally I wouldn't hesitate to start Shesty but he's in a bit of a funk right now. Dallas plays a ton of low scoring games and Ott is a save machine. Jake for me.

Yep. This is exactly my issue. I lose in the playoffs often due to two reasons:

1. I face a shutout.
2. My starting goalie craps the bed.

This league has very unusual rules which date back to manual scoring of games back in the 90's, but the gist of it is that it keeps the reality that a hot goalie can win you a game or series. I can actually score enough to beat shutouts when I have average goaltending some of the time, and in this league that's very, very rare. Maybe a dozen times or so in our 20+ year history, and it's very frustrating when you just need say a .885 save percentage to give you a chance.

I have no problem saying that Shesterkin has been average overall this year, can't blame you for going with Oetts.

Thanks everyone. This is a lesser version of my old Hasek/Roy dilemma - which wasn't a dilemma in reality. That answer was always Hasek if healthy. Rep coming.
