Frank Seravalli dropped a baseball like trade announcement lol. EF hasn't tweeted anything so I wonder if this is FS trying to break trade news like MLB ones. And EF still operating under the "I'm not announcing it until it's known by all parties" aspect.

Hajek on Waivers for the Rangers. Wonder why if Blais is invovled, and they are at 22/23 roster spots. Maybe for cap.
Tarasenko and STL players are aware of the trade according to Pagnotta.
I'm sure the details were done, and when Seravalli tweeted out the deal, is when Tarasenko was asked to waive his NTC to make the deal happen. Now we're likely waiting on conditions to be ironed out on the picks or salary retention details,
STL WILL receive a first round pick in the trade.

Mikkola is believed to be involved, which would explain the Hajek waiving.

Very, very competitive Eastern Conference this year (three locks: BOS, TOR, CAR... IMO)... especially with NJ losing Jack Hughes.
TB should still have enough in tank, barring major injury to claim 4th best in East. (Division vs. TOR)
NYI and NYR have just added.
Then we've got NJD in great position... but having to weight Hughes injury.
PIT & WAS are usually committed to "all in" with their vets.
BUF is really rising and has the prospects to make a run at a guy like Karlsson - if they choose.
And FLA has underperformed all year and really might be more talented (on analytics) than these other teams.

I suppose Tarasenko no-movement clause limited their options and leverage.

As Tarasenko was UFA, and Rangers can't afford to keep him, STIL wasn't going to do much better. Teams are chasing Kane, Meier still. Tarasenko wasn't the biggest fish.
