How many keepers spots do you get? I struggle to think of a keeper league where Matthews isn’t a keeper.
Was just offered Barkov/Bratt for my Matthews/Andersson. It's a keeper league but neither Matthews or Barkov would be a keeper for me. So, given the circumstances, who would you prefer ROS?

Haha, ok fair. In that keeper set up I see why Matthews is not a keeper. Bratt is a big upgrade on Anderson, and I think it’s enough to outweigh the step back from Matthews to Barkov. I’m personally not a Barkov fan, and he’s having a down year (relative to his prior years). So that’s what gives me pause. But ultimately I think you come out ahead of you take the deal.

Thanks for the input. The knee injury and how long the Leafs might hold him out is what's scaring me.

Barkov started slow with a few injuries and losing a long time high scoring linemate. Looks like things have settled down with linemates.
Barkov...last 14 games 20 points 1.43 ppg. Year long 47/42 = 1.12 ppg.
Auston...last 14 games 15 points 1.07 ppg. Year long 53/47 = 1.13 ppg. Not to mention the injury, surgery, recovery and how he will he do when he gets back.
I'd take Barkov.

This is indeed the heart of the problem. The offer is an excellent option for you if Matthews is sidelined for 4 - 6 weeks. If he's back immediately after the all-star break, then there is some diminishing return on the deal for sure although Barkov could make this pretty close even if Matthews returns quickly. I most definitely like Bratt over Andersson. Tough call. All I can suggest is hold off on this a bit and work your ass off trying to get an update on the Matthews' injury and when he might resume play. To answer the question, I really don't mind this deal for you if Matthews is not a keeper for you and certainly you win big if he ends up on IR,
