Canes Goalie Speculation Time

he's been a nice story but with raanta and freddy both being fragile goalies physically he's bound to get recalled at some point .

in the meantime , send him down to stay sharp .

I'm assuming he doesnt need waivers because of the emerg. recall but what if its not an emerg. recall in the future- does he need to clear to get sent down again ? I obviously doubt Car. risks that scenerio and would carry 3

Honestly, they could keep all 3, it's been a real possibility. With 2 goalies who are made of straw, if not glass, it's not a terrible idea. They are basically alternating which goalie they are featuring, and it turns into showcasing, because they put up multiple shutout while being featured.

This is honestly crazy at this point, and Brind'Amour can basically do no wrong. They could end up needing an emergency goalie to come in due to multiple injuries in the first period, and that person could throw up a great game and steal a win.

He has a great problem, Canes are playing lights out defense so whoever is back there has a tremendous shot at the win. This worries me as a Kochetkov owner though, as I’m not sure Raanta is an attractive trade target (injuries of the past, plus other teams will see it’s not so much him as the team in front him imo). So...Kochetkov may be sent down when Freddie is back. Then called back up if/when one of them breaks again.

Andersen expected back next week. The consensus is they’ll roll a trio to begin with. Wonder if that’s also the long term plan as well..

Three goalies means one less skater on their roster. I don't see that happening. I'm not sure who "the consensus" are but I'd be curious to hear where they are getting their information from.
