    Default Easy Come Easy Go?

So I just traded for Saros last week (got rid of Binner and F to do so). That being said, the Preds look absolutely lost right now. Also, some are saying Saros just hasn't looked quite the same since the injury late last year. There is someone in my league who is hell bent on trading for him, I don't know why. He just offered MAF, another workhorse on a (current) middling team. This guy also has Murray.

    Do I:

Trade my recently acquired Saros for MAF?
Counter with Saros for Murray (I'll have Murray/Samsonov, not a bad duo the way the Leafs are rolling this year)?
Stand Pat for a few more weeks?

I'm in a good spot right now, so if I need to wait out Saros/Preds to turn it around I can do so. But if they don't then his trade value will drop and this guy may not want him anymore.

Any thoughts appreciated, will rep where I can. Settings in sig.

Appreciate the insight Bel. One of my main concerns if I tried to acquire Murray is the durability for sure. That being said, what makes you say he’s showing signs of breaking? Just based on the last game against Calgary? Everyone has a bad game here and there. He’s rocking 7-1-2 with a 2.50 and .926, even with that bad last game. Or do you mean breaking health wise and I’m missing something?

Murray is showing signs of breaking due to being able to stand upright on skated on the ice. I kid somewhat, but only a little.

Saros is the best goalie of these 3, and if you have to make a deal, I'd want an upgrade elsewhere on my roster to downgrade from Saros to either ex-Penguins goalie.

Saros is the quality start percentage leader among all goalies since he came into the league, and it's not even that close. And he's the only one in the top 10 who didn't also have one really bad start per ten starts. He is too good to struggle all season long.

Thanks all, I will hold a little longer and hope he and the Preds right the ship.

in a 1 year league I can understand the temptation but Murray is too brittle for me to trust , especially in exchange for Saros
