    Hey guys,

Team and league details in the sig below. What are your thoughts on offering my Carlson + Nichushkin for Kucherov? Carlson is doing great so far and Nichushkin, prior to injury, was looking like he would be at least a ppg player. If I could pull this trade off, I'd likely replace the loss of Carlson with someone like Ghost or Krug.

Thanks in advance for the opinions!

I don’t think the other GM goes for that. Nichuskin’s value is depressed even though he is healthy because the injury is what is remembered, not the pace he was on before. Best time to trade him will be in a least a few weeks as long as he’s back to his previous pace.

Replacing Carlson with Ghost or Krug may be the plan, but man do those two have downward trends. Krug is falling out of the NHL based on the way he's played. He shouldn't be part of a plan. You've mentioned how hard it is in this league to replace D. In a vacuum, the deal is reasonable. But tweetdrivr is right in saying that now is not the right time to deal Nichushkin unless you've got someone on the other line who believes in the first part of the season where he looked more like Kucherov's equal than his trade chip.

If you can get Kucherov it's a slam dunk, but like tweetdrivr mentioned, I'd be very surprised if the other owner took it.

I'd wouldn't give up Kucherov for any defensman not named Makar

i dont think this is so one sided...Carlson is one of best D and those are hard to find...i would probably do this trade but its close.
