Batherson vs DeBrincat

Who do you prefer?
I need to swap a RW into a LW because i have to much RW on my roster!

Do you think this would be a fair trade?
Right now they have similar stats!

Or what player would you target with Batherson?

i personally prefer Batherson but i think im in minority...im not sure Batherson will be enough but i would try

i just do, i think he got more upside, i play multicat leagues and he is better...i just like his style more..i think that if Debrincat is not going offensively he is useless for both NHL and Fantasy teams...Batherson is different...pure offensive ceiling i think Debrincat maybe have higher one ...but as complete player im on DB train...

Batherson still has 2018 hanging over him. That's concerning. I also agree that DeBrincat is more of the type of player who can - and likely will - explode for over 90 points, while Batherson is more of a grinder who will probably not go beyond 80-85 in a full season.

i dont think you will cry either way both are very good NHLers..and they probably rotate who is more valuable year to year.

I have to say i would probable drop Marino because i have to activate Kuzmenko of my minirs because when he hits 30 games he isn‘t minor eligible anymore!

The premise here is flawed- they're not equal. I like beelexus as a poster but everything hes saying is anecdotal and doesn't even apply to fantasy hockey. Batherson has no discernable edge in fantasy- at this point. If you've hitched your wagon that way- good luck to ya! It looks like it can pan out but he's never been billed as having the same offensive ceiling as debrincat and he has one of the most crowded top sixes in the league blocking his way to get there. Can he be better? Sure he can but nothing indicates that he will outside if sheer unadulterated luck (or bias).

The real issue is debrincats shooting percentage which is unsustainable low. This WILL correct itself and tbh it likely has already started. When it does they will not be similar players as the cat is one of the very few players in the league who looks to have inherent 50 goal ability. You can like Batherson all you want but unless he develops some hidden part of his game thats not something he brings to the table.

Bottom line- marchment and Marino are filler your focus is on the players and by the time debrincats wonky shooting percentage corrects itself this is a non comparison...

I'd probably drop Martinex unless you really, really need hits. You can likely find younger bangers who don't score on the wire, and they may not be one-dimensional.
