Sergachev vs Chychrun (once healthy)

Sergachev is on the waiver wire and I have the 1st pick and an open spot since losing Werenski.

Question: Wanting to upgrade my D should I use my my first waiver wire pick or grab Chychrunand stash him on IR, or just hope Sergachev hits the open market?

A) Sergachev is currently on PP1. Does Tampa switch up PP1 D often with Hedman, or will this be a bit more permanent? Is he worth a 1st waiver wire pick?
B) Chychrun is, supposedly, due to return Nov 21st (as per the recent Dobber article on player injury updates). I can only hope he gets traded to a contender and takes PP1 with whatever team snags him (if traded). It being a 1 year league, I don’t want to have to wait too long…unless somehow he performs well with the dumpster fire Coyotes.

8 team league ( Non-keeper)

Best D available are guys like Petry, Morrissey, Provorov, Pulock, etc.

My main concern is using my waiver wire spot (1st) to acquire Sergachev. If he hits FA, I’m grabbing him. But do I take the gamble or use my waiver pick?

I'd burn the #1 waiver for Serg.
It also allows you to feel free using it (and not holding it ALL season)... which can sometimes be advantageous for streaming decent drops.

i think Chychrun will surprise people, long term i prefer him but for this year, its probably sergachev

Can't you do both? Grab Chychrun and stash him on IR AND get Sergachev off waivers?

Sergachev is an upgrade from Pionk so I'd drop him to make these moves.
