Hischier or HUberdeau?..
im holding if your moving Hubs AND Suzuki heer..
Hey all,
For POINTS ONLY, 1 year league
bit of an urgent trade question. Needs to be done in the next hour or 2 if it happens.
Huberdeau, Suzuki for Marner & 1 of Kreider/Kempe/lafreniere
Or would you do
Huberdeau, Suzuki, Krug for Marner, DeAngelo 7 1 of kreider/kempe/lafreniere
I don't like losing suzuki, but he won't accept any Hischier version unless he swaps his winger to Voracek which I don't like whatsoever.
Thanks for any quick input.
Rep where I can.

Of those wingers he is offering, Kreider is the only one paired with Marner that I would even remotely consider. Personally, I would actually prefer a Marner/Kreider combo to a Hubs/Suzuki... I think :/

If it is Huberdeau and Hischier for Marner and Kreider, I like the Marner/Kreider side. I still like the deal if Hischier is replaced by Suzuki.
Are you a Toronto fan perhaps? Just mentioning because maybe you have a bit of bias that is affecting your decision making. Personally, I dont like the deal for you. Huberdeau is the best player imo. I would not trade him.
Not sure why... might actually be my own bias here but I dont believe in Kreider. I have this nagging feeling he is Cheechoo in disguise.
no i would do that easily. He wants Huberdeau Suzuki for his Marner/kreider

no definitely not a Toronto fan.
Marner is RW, and his TOI is 4 or so minutes a game. Watching a few Flames games, Huberdeaus TOI has got me concerned at an alarming rate.
personally i dont care if its suzuki or heischier im taking Marner and Kreider here

It's not an easy decision and a very fair swap.
Marner is my favourite player but I do think Huberdeau is the best standalone player in this deal. That said, hockey isn't a standalone game and you're right... his ice-time doesn't seem to be anywhere close to where it was when he put up 115 points last season. He could very well settle back down to ~85+ point territory unless things change for him TOI-wise.
I do think Suzuki takes another step this season as well and flirts with ~80+ points if he can stay healthy.
That said, I think the DeAngelo (~55+ points) part of the 2nd option swings this more into your favour as Krug is settling back down into the ~45 point zone on the back-end of his prime with Faulk and others eating away at his upside... and you're still getting ~95+ from Marner and ~70+ from Kreider (I firmly believe his 77 point season last year will end up being his career best).
End of day I'm counting ~220 points with Marner, Kreider, and DeAngelo vs. ~210 points from Huberdeau, Suzuki, Krug... +/- a 10-15 point swing on either side and assuming healthy seasons all around.
Good luck with your decision!

allright fella's,
thanks for the responses
trade ended up being huberdeau and suzuki for marner and kreider.
not 100% convinced, but I do need a RW, and I had 1 too many C so positionally speaking it made sense.
Time will tell if it was smart
