    Default Johansen vs waiver options

League 1 in signature. We had our draft recently and I’m happy with the results. Right now my strategy is have a main starting lineup to run with and I’m using my bench for young players/prospects - either to hit a home run or as trade chips (Newhook, Quinn, Addison, Lundvist).

Once Wilson returns from injury, he will slot in as my 6th starting forward, but until then it’s Johansen who I took with my second last pick (unless Quinn or Newhook perform well and become must-starts).

There’s still some interesting options on waivers though. Would you swap out Johansen for any of these players?

    - Arvidsson
    - R. Strome
    - Benn
    - Lee
    - Voracek
    - Schmaltz

The only player I would consider and this is very close is Voracek.

I would look at but not move on Voracek. All signs point to a potential big bounceback for him but I would want to wait and see if it's really coming... They're similar players in that they won't provide alot of category coverage but are a reasonable bet for above league average point totals. I personally like Arvidsson as well but Fiala and a plethora of youth leave alot of question marks about how prominently he might feature in the offense.

All things considered I think Johansen is actually the safest own right now. You know what his role is and it's not likely to change anytime soon barring a major acquisition which his current team doesn't really do much of.
