Yikes. Obliques are tough to recover from.
Tavares is out a minimum of 3 weeks with an oblique injury.
Season is 2 weeks away, first week of the yr has 4 games (@MTL, vs wsh, vs ott, vs ari).

Am I the only one who thinks Tavares may regress towards being a 60-70 pts player for the next couple years?
Makes the Leafs faster.

Is that Denis Malgin's music that I hear?
In my books he already has regressed to those types of numbers, hes just being propped up by the leafs elite powerplay and willie nylander.
That isnt to say he doesnt have value but if hes not providing 1C numbers then hes gonna need to be a Selke-level player to justify even 8m AAV let alone 11m AAV
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
