Keeper league Draft results taking stock of my team, can I compete?

I have had a competitive run in my keeper league for the last several years. I found myself last year with a bunch of question marks as regards to my keepers.

Eichel out indefinitely?
E. Kane status un-known?
Kucherov had burned my the year before
M Tkchuck had a really down year, Calgary looked a mess.

I kept 2 players and re-drafted my team. My goalies killed me last year enough that I never got dug out. I went into this year with a good group of keepers.

Here is my team after the draft. I think this is a strong start. I wanted to lock up D early and had planned to keep Markstrom ( fewest B2B games, and Suter rides his G) and then value draft a combo late. Somehow Helly was still around and figured I would at least have 2 pure volume starters locked in. To be fair, Helly was bad in our format (22nd ranked Goalie and outside the top 120 players in our league) Elvis is a throwaway if needed. There was a huge tier of C in the middle of the draft and like my C combo of Kopitar picked late for value, Hintz has upside, Trocheck has good cat coverage. I also took Vrana and Perron to hedge my bets on who would get PP1 Deployment. Obviously Stone is a big question mark on health and deployment but should be solid when in the roster and Patches was worth a stash I think, I have added Newhook as a streamer now that Patches is on IR. I think I landed good value in each round and should be in the hunt.

Any feedback advice? I think I have enough scoring and the roster is well rounded in each category.

I am not sure on the G situation. I should not have to hunt down starts. There are a few decidedly horrible teams this year so streaming against them with waiver wire Goalies is a plan.

You had Markstrom last year and your goalies killed you with those stats? Not sure how that happened. Your D is staked. Although with two strong keeper D, I am not sure if you had to grab Rielly so early. What other high end forwards were there? I would of gobbled up a few of those before filling out my D.

Overall your team looks solid though. If Kuch stay's healthy your team will produce well. If not you will probably wish you grabbed a few more forwards early.

It is your forwards that are going to have to step it up to make your team a contender. It is certainly possible with the players you have drafted, but they all have to have good seasons.
