Points only. Competing this year and a heavy focus on competing next year, also interested in overall upside.
Can only keep one. Who do you choose?

McTavish - great showing recently but limited short term opportunity and lower ceiling?
Eklund - bad team, good opportunity, debatable if he will make team full time
K Johnson - maybe the least ready, hard to say if he will make team full time, highest upside long term?

Since you are competing this season, I think you have to go with either McTavish or Eklund. With McTavish I see him slotted on the 2nd Line right now at LW with Ryan Strome and Frank Vatrano. There is Max Comtois that could push him down to the 3rd line, but right now the opportunity is there. With Eklund, not really sure if he is going to make the team out of the gate, but like you said he has a good opportunity because he is on a bad team. I think I would lean towards McTavish.
