Points Only League - Where to draft D

I play in an 11-team league starting 10 forwards and 4 D with 7 reserves (any combo of F or D). Points are worth 1. PPP are worth an additional point. In a league like this, where do you draft Cale Makar? What about the next D picks - ie Hedman, Fox, etc.

Would appreciate comments.

Points only makes it easier. Just draft them with similar scoring forwards, so after the 100+ guys, start looking for Makar, Josi, Fox and Hedman. If you think you can nab one of those 4 and still get a potential 90 point forward with your next pick, then do it. Having one of these 4 studs is a sweet thing.

After that, you could think about taking Makar…
But Kucherov, Matthews, MacKinnon even Huberdeau, Kaprizov and Marner should be considered too.
After that, Josi, Hedman, Fox and Hugues should be the Ds you target.
If it’s a keeper, I’d put Fox 2nd behind Makar

Makar at 5, Josi in top 10, Fox Hedman maybe even Hughes in top 20

I would let others fight for Makar and Josi, Fox and Hedman. I would than target guys like Hughes and Carlson who could outpoint Hedman and Fox but for much cheaper.
