Point & Nylander

Who would you rather have going forward, goals weighted higher, no peripherals? I currently own Point, but his stock seems to be down and Dobber's guide isn't that high on him, something like mid 60s in points in 74 games.

Nylander is projected at 74 in over 80 games I believe.

I've always felt that Point overproduced in the beginning of his career based off of his teammates. I felt like when he was given the larger role, he didn't take another step. I could be out of line when I say that though.

Nylander however looks like he almost needs more responsibility to keep him engaged. That's always been his flaw dating back to his Modo/SHL time. He had a career yr last yr, but I do think he's a pretty safe 68-78pt guy, and with JT slowing down, he might be leaned on more.

It's close, but I'll lean Nylander because 1.I'm a Leafs fan 2. I've always been unimpressed with Point in relation to what others see.

I prefer Nylander. His numbers have been improving each year, any it seems like any fears of his salary needing to be traded away have subsided considerably.

i think their point per game will be very close , too close to call. However i think Point has been getting hurt a bit more so mostly for health reason i would also pick Nylander.

Tough call, very close in my opinion. I’m not a fan of Nylander's perceived attitude. However Point keeps me expecting more since his big playoff a few seasons ago. Yet he hasn’t been able to repeat or match that for one reason or another.
I would take Nylander and his attitude over Point.

Point had two PPG seasons early on but the numbers have certainly regressed since then. Does he have PPG seasons ahead of him or are we seeing a trend over the last few years? Hard to say, but this is a bit of a red flag for me as are the injuries. Nylander on the other hand has improved his numbers pretty much each year and there seems to be a nice progression and consistency here. I'm more confident that he can hit the PPG mark again than I am in Point getting there. Not that Point will not put up very respectable numbers, but I think Nylander is more likely to put up 10 - 15 more points than Point is. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if this ends up being very very close, it would be a mistake I think to sell Point short. Still, I'll take Nylander, it seems like the safer choice to me.

This one is pretty close. In real life, I take Point easy. But in fantasy, given your format, I'm taking Nylander.
