What do you expect from Mikheyev in Vancouver?

Actually i just wanted to know who is better between Necas or Wahlstrom without any trade in my mind!

5 minutes ago a gm wrote me and said he wants either Necas or Mikheyev and he would offer me Samsonov!

I think i will take the gamble on Samsonov!

But who would you trade!?

wahlstrom was so good during a 21 or so day stretch during the shortened 56 game season then he got hurt and couldnt get back into the lineup .

I havent seen a shred of similar good play from Oliver since that point . I'm hoping it was just a confidence thing and Lambert finds a way to wake him up again .

what did I like during that stretch of time ?

everything - his passes were crisp and timely , his one timer , his hitting , his little one touch passes to keep the play moving .....

As a Wahlstrom owner I'm just happy to hear that someone views him in the same tier as Necas. I fear Wahlstrom is going to be a bust but I hope he turns it around.

Definitely Necas over Mikheyev.

Wahlstrom really never stood a chance with Trotz behind the bench. Healthy scratches and 8 - 12 minutes TOI when he did get to play. The million dollar question is whether the coaching change and another year of development will change Wahlstroms' fortunes. Necas was handed 16 minutes TOI and has played almost 70 more NHL games. Wahlstrom and Necas were both drafted 11th and 12th overall respectively. Wahlstrom is 1 year younger. I find it hard to compare the two with what we have seen, more to the point, Necas has had opportunity whereas Wahlstrom really has not. The safe choice here is Necas but I would not be surprised whatsoever if Wahlstrom evolves into a better own particularly in a multi cat format. Only time will tell.

Necas over Mikheyev. Am I the only one thinking the Samsonov and Murray tandem is going to be awful? Both are injury prone and the Toronto media and fans will eat them alive if they struggle.
