If there is anybody other then Wright that i would select #1 is Slafkovsky. I dont have Nemec in my top 7 as i dont like drafting D that high. Makars dont grow on trees. There is lots of growing pains with most young D in NHL.

Wright for me for the floor and the (seeming) dependability. I don't want to swing and miss if I have 1.1. I think that Wright's complete game keeps him in the scoring mix, even if his ceiling might be less than that of someone else.

I’m going with Wright, but I wouldn’t fault anyone for taking Slaf.

It's Wright for me. I'm assuming that it'll be the same in over 90% of prospect drafts as well. Unless Montreal throws a curveball and then all bets are off.

Why wouldn't Montreal consider a native Francophone player not in the QMJHL? I understand the language bias, but am wondering about the league bias.
