Keep Rossi. In a world of unknowns, Rossi has at least some known skills, placement and a team with talent for his wings.
As a Rossi owner I’m excited by the hype and potential for him to become a #1 C on a fairly decent looking Minnesota team.
I have the option to trade him for the 4OV pick on this years draft.
This draft seems to have a pretty clear top 3, then there’s probably to top Dmen and a couple Wings.
Is Keeping Rossi a better idea then trading him for the 4th?
Keep Rossi. In a world of unknowns, Rossi has at least some known skills, placement and a team with talent for his wings.
Rossi will be an NHL player next year and as you have already said, 1 C on a decent Wild team is a realistic expectation in the very near future. With the exception of Wright and Slafkovsky who MIGHT transition to the NHL right out of the draft the rest of the top 10 will likely not start their NHL careers for a year or two more. Further, while this draft is strong, IMO, again with perhaps the exception of Wright and Slafkovsky, I think Rossi is as good as or better than any player you could draft with the 4 OV. I keeping Rossi.

Rossi it is
Keep Rossi. Especially with the cap crunch the Wild are facing after buying out Suter and Parise. They'll have no choice but to play the kids on entry-level contract.

Rossi is a much more known commodity, and he looks really good. I'd take him.
There's likely a couple guys in the draft who will outproduce him, but guessing right isn't easy.

I wouldn't trade Rossi for the 1st overall pick this year. So there's that.

Nice thing with Rossi is, you know where he is and who he has a chance to play with, outside of Wright (most likely) the rest you're not sure where they end up. Cooley could wind up on an island in the desert, Slaf could have the opportunity in a couple years to play with Hughes in NJ, or ends up on an anemic Philly offense with Tort's who hates young players lol.
Rossi is in Minny, they have no clear cut #1 center, the path is there for him to get into top six then top line center and top pp and be shackled next to Kaprizov for the next decade potentially.
