Yes, I am good with both of those things. Except I prefer the term "my body: my choice & I choose to end my pregnancy". But yes. Please ban all guns. It would save lives.

Two opposite ends of the spectrum, two options to save lives... wouldn't it be great if there was a political party somewhere in the neutral grounds.

Why politicize it? Why is owning a handgun or assault riffle so important?

Yes. However as I pointed out, you have sick people wishing harm on others, and opportunity to do it. Remove or reduce one of those things, and you greatly prevent this. Of course, the best course of action, would be to fix it so there are no sick people who want to harm others. This is really tough to do and the US isn't the only nation with sick people in it. They are however, the only nation with this kind of opportunity that is do it. It is within the power to remove that opportunity, or at the very least, greatly reduce it.

The thing about the politics, is that there are many politicians who are offering thoughts and prayers all while accepting millions in donations from the NRA. These same people also have their children in plush private schools, so they know this kind of thing will never happen to them. To me, this is evil.

It is a political issue. Politicians have it within them to do something about this, yet they don't. This is a spiritual, emotional, religious, physical and yes, political issue.

My comment had nothing to do with owning a gun...

It was about finding a middle ground that was really about saving lives as opposed to what the Democrats want or what the Republicans want.

Ban guns, ban abortion, save lives.

I agree... majority of politics is more about the selfish motives and selfish gains than actually making the best decisions.

See, I'm actually more in the middle than fully agreeing with both sides.

Ban SOME guns, and ban SOME abortions. Still leaves plenty of room for grey areas on how to actually "police" it though...

Don't worry. Should be some sort of celebrity scandal next week and everyone will forget about this.

Very true, if it ever happened to them things would be different. Reality is they don’t care, perception is that they should care enough to do something.

Nailed it. Politicians won’t do anything if it jeopardizes there place in office.

Too bad the USA doesn’t have a third political party to support ideals closer to the middle rather than two opposing parties which support far right and far left thinking. The problem stems even further with voting for a particular political party regards of the candidate or party platform. Voting for that political party only because my father and his father and his father for ever generations have voted that way.
