Is this fantasy team name...offside?

So, I first drafted Kaprizov into my minors system about 5 years ago. This season was his first season in my active roster, and he is looking like a keeper for a long long long long time.

When I activated him at the start of the season (Oct 2021), I thought that I would change my team name in the off-season to incorporate this cornerstone piece. My intent was to come up with a creative fantasy team name, nothing more.

Given the current state of affairs, could this team name be perceived as insensitive, arrogant, oblivious, or just flat out offside?

(My league is a mix of friends who know me well, as well as people I have never met in person)

Would you be ok with someone in your league using this name?

I’m not someone who is easily offended and I find that people are far too sensitive these days when it comes to what we can and can’t poke fun at.

Your team name choice should be a complete non-issue and if people take issue with it, they could probably benefit from taking stock of their own lives snd what really deserves their energy.

When it comes to team names, I generally err on the side of caution. No benefit to insulting someone over something as insignificant (yet incredibly important) as a fantasy team name. And after the build-up in your post, I was expecting something a little bit offside. But honestly, that name didn't even register on the offensive scale for me. Just a play on words from a famous movie.

If someone is bothered, maybe ask them why (they may have some personal experience that you are unaware of). But other than that, this seems silly, and i think you're good to go. Great name.

When I saw it I immediately thought Kirill...Russian...license to kill Ukrainians. Never thought of James Bond at all.
