    Default Pick 5 keeppers

Team in sig- both goalies are free as are any other players/prospects under 100 games

    My thinking for locks-
    Hughes
    Lafrenniere
    Vrana

    Then 2 of-
    Tippett
    Puljijarvi
    Necas

Not the end of the world but this teams my baby and its going through a tense/pensive rebuild lol!

Based on your post i agree with others if those are your only choices but i would strongly consider keeping Bunting and maybe even Sharangovic over Pulj and Necas in that order..

I like bunting too and am a leafs fan. Ive also got a funny feeling about pool party. I have read all this sky high upside but that big galoot misses shots on net than anyone ive ever seen lol! Dont get me wrong im likely keeping him to see if he can grow into his body more and surely missed shots are an easy area to improve on but hes definitely a frusterating player to watch when you own him hahah! Thanks for the input guys- rep coming...

I would personally go with your three locks plus Bunting and Poolparty. I think Bunting has way more value than Necas playing on that first line with Matthews and Marner

I also think Bunting is worth serious consideration here. His deployment this year is golden and he has not disappointed and that first line in TO should remain in tact for a few more years.

I also agree here although I couldn’t fault you for Necas over Bunter.

I am going to go against others here.

    Leave Poolparty at the party.
Keeping Bunting is a smart and prudent choice.

Then I would seriously compare Necas to Sharangovich. In all honesty I am leaning more towards Sharangovich.

So you go with the 3 you have highlighted; J Hughes, Vrana and Lafreniere and add Bunting and Shara to the mix.

Bunting is one, as he sadly played a few too many games.

Then I'd keep one of Necas or Sharangovich.

It's funny that no one here feels Brayden Schenn is keeper worthy and recommending guys like Sharangovich over him. He just had 58pts in 62games.

Schenn could be keeper worthy on a team that's contending, but this is a planned long rebuild, so he's not. Note that I am not saying I agree with long rebuilds.

I get that he's not a contender, but dropping and giving away assets that are productive, no matter their age, for guys who are middling players is just poor asset management. It's not like Schenn is old and on the decline.

I guess if you goal is to constantly suck and just want to draft shiny things instead of trying to win, then sure, let him go. Different strokes for different folks.

only NOT suggesting him because he wasn't in the list of options he's willing to keep. i agree giving away an asset that can help with success or even potential trades is not good management.

Love the feedbcak/debate here guys- ty!!

I should clarify that we have a STEAL round and that these are more PROTECTs than keepers. So if I leave Neacase/ Pooly, and Schenn open- I only end up losing one of them. So a guy like Schenn can maybe be flipped to a comtender later in the season as I believe myself to be at minimum one more season out of contention although if Im being realistic I dont think things will come together in under two years lol!

But yea just clarifying in case it makes some of the choies easier in that regard. I think you guys have convinced me to keep Bunter so its just a matter of who is fidth??
