Burgers if the cook sucks
Tacos if you have a person who knows how to cook
You don't need a fancy burger, but extra time into a taco makes it superior. Making a pico instead of jar salsa, cotija cheese over shredded cheddar, pork belly or shredded brisket over ground beef. The extra effort goes farther on a taco than a burger to me

Can we get back to the bitterness of losing for 5 years in a row please? I didn’t check this right now to see a burger vs taco debate.

I think the difference between a quick fresh burger and a time involved fresh burger isn't equivalent to the same as a taco.
Putting an hr into prep for a taco delivers a bigger difference than an hr prep of a burger. I also think adding a bunch of stuff onto a burger gets lost, adding a bunch of stuff to a taco doesn't.
However, cooking burgers in the summer delivers better entertainment for the cook than tacos I think. Both are good. All that matters is if the person has passion in what they cook for ya. But I'll take tacos over a burger cause of the variety....I'm hungry now.

Unfortunately Notch, To me It doesn't matter what you make.
League Entry:$50.00. At the very least, $25 -$40 should have been refunded.
Tacos vs Burgers
I think the real question is what makes a burger a burger and a Taco a Taco.
If I put Mexican spices into a ground beef patty, add salsa, and cheese/etc, but put it on a bun, is it a Taco?
If I smoke a Brisket, grind it, add Mexican spices, etc, put it on a bun, is that a brisket burger?
Some Tacos are ground meat, others not. You can have fish tacos or fish burgers. Chicken tacos or Chicken burgers. ETC.
If you put spices on a Vegan Burger, some can be quite delicious. Well "Beyond Meat (cookout classic)" anyway.
You can pretty much put all the same stuff on both. Is it the Bun vs the shell? OR Is it nothing more than it being in a patty form makes it a burger?

To me, the tortilla is the thing that makes a taco an actual taco. Burger is ground meat served on a split bun/roll. A chicken burger is only a legit chicken burger if it's ground. If it's a full piece of meat, it's a "Chicken Sandwich".
If you spice ground meat with taco seasoning, but form a patty and serve on a bun, it's a Taco Burger. Where the first word is describing the second word. So you can season ground meat to be a burger and then put it on a tortilla and now it's a "BigMac Taco". It's still a taco

I don't see the argument for tacos over burgers. They each have their place, but burgers are just superior.
Underappreciated benefit of tacos is you can get multiple types to cover a bunch of different hankerings. Uh, so good.

Don't get me wrong. I like Taco's. My wife spent a bit of time in Southern Texas. Makes a lot of her own stuff (salsa verde for 1).
I think you could say that about Burgers too. In PA there is a little town about 30 miles from me called Hamburg. Every year they have a Hamburger Festival. Some pretty good stuff.
